Meet Your Turtle is an Artistry shop of all sorts of creative passions. From custom mailboxes, to jewelry, to resin cutting boards, Adam does it all! If you can think it, Adam is going to make it. Meet Your Turtle was named for the special connection between each piece and customer. Art is special and drives connection. The first piece created was for Adam's daughter, a turtle necklace and in handing her the piece she 'met her turtle' and the name was born.
For this project, I worked closely with my Adam to conceptualize what his brand was and how to take these passions and turn it into a business. Adam created this exciting vision and thought he knew exactly what he wanted. He gave me. a sketch of what he wanted but he also asked me to explore. When we met to discuss however he was overwhelmed with excitement over all the ideas I had presented and we flipped all original ideas around. Some of our final logos were in preparation for the content later for the brand, stickers, patterns, merchandise esque logo iterations. For final products, I created a logo system and brand guide for Meet Your Turtle.
The long long process
Working with Adam, he had lots of different ideas he wanted to try out and finding the perfect logo was not an easy task. We had multiple vibes going between the colors, fonts, and turtles. Narrowing it down took 4 rounds of iterations. So many of these ideas help build off of one another it's fun to look back and see how the final ideas came to be.
