At Universe Juice, their mission is to facilitate meaningful connections between first responders and trauma survivors or families who have lost loved ones. Their goal is to illuminate the lives of those impacted by trauma, fostering connection, shared experiences, and mutual support. Inspired by the founder's personal journey, the team facilitates powerful healing by connecting individuals with those who played a crucial role during their time of need. In doing so, we aim to underscore the profound impact and life-changing nature of first responders' work.
My senior year of college at Johnson & Wales, I was taking the Design Teams course and my first client was Universe Juice. With an amazingly powerful story and a confusing name, my team was tasked with creating a logo - this took us the entire semester. The following semester, the Universe Juice group wanted to continue to work with me as I would prepare all of the brand collateral. My other group mates were swapped with web experienced designers to create the website they use today.
After working together we continued the relationship as I would come to events and photograph for the group. I am able to see my designs in action, see those incredible connections be made, and thank my first responders. It fills my cup and I continue to work with them year after year to see this foundation expand and it's only getting started.
